Cavan Gaels have a thriving underage section. Our feeder national schools are mainly St. Felim's Boys National School, Farnham National School and Gaelscoil an Chabhain. Both Farnham and St. Felim's National Schools use the club's pitches in Terry Coyle Park for training and Cumann na mBunscoil games and the local Cumann na mBunscoil have the use of the club's facilities for Physical Education.
The club is very active in the local community. Every year, club members help organisations like the Irish Heart Foundation, Friends of Cavan General Hospital, the National Guide Dogs Association, Cystic Fibrosis, Spina Bifida, Cavan Community Games, Rehabs, Self-Help Africa Appeal etc. with church gate collections. Each St. Stephen's Day, the club organises a charity game, the proceeds from which is given to a local charity.
Membership of the club is approximately 260. Many of these members are actively involved in the club's underage (6-12 years) weekly coaching sessions which take place in Terry Coyle Park each Saturday morning from 11.00am. to 12.30pm.
